Servanthood

Matthew 20:20-28
~ The way to GREATNESS is the way of service (opposite to the world).

Luke 17:7-10
~ The ATTITUDE of a servant: "I have only done my duty."

• There is no complaining or expectation of reward.

Philippians 2:3-11
~ Do NOTHING out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.

• Consider other peoples needs as MORE IMPORTANT than your own.
• When was the last time you served without being asked ?
• For Jesus to come to earth was the supreme act of humble servanthood.Þ We must IMMITATE His selfless example in our everyday living.

Proverbs 3:27-28
~ Do not DELAY in serving others.

Proverbs 14:35
~ A King (God) takes great DELIGHT in a wise servant.

• Are you being a shameful servant in any way ?

Galatians 6:2-10
~ How have you done in CARRYING OTHER PEOPLES BURDENS this week ?

• NB: If you haven't been doing this then you are not fulfilling the law of Christ!
• Never become WEARY of doing good.· Use each and every opportunity to serve.

John 13:1-7
~ Jesus demonstrates for us an example of UNCONDITIONAL love and servanthood.

• When was the last time you washed your disciples feet ?

Colossians 3:23-24
~ Serve with ALL YOUR HEART !!

• Realise that it is the Lord - Jesus - that you are serving, not men.
