B. Fruits of self centered life (continued):

5. It hinders people from feeling genuine compassion ~ Luke 16:19-31

6. It allows people to be heartless - Matthew 27:3-4

7. It causes people to become unfruitful - Luke 8:14

8. It does not provide real happiness - Ecclesiastes 2:1,24

9. It causes some to reject Christ

• Young, rich man - Matthew 19:16-22
• John 12:43 - Some love praise from men more than praise from God
