Why do people believe what they believe?
Any teaching worth trusting if it points to truth
Many beliefs today are not supported by evidence
Not based off of proof but based off of what they find attractive
Truth is truth no matter what country you live in
Law of non-contradiction = contradictory claims cannot both be true at the same time in the same sense
Law of excluded middle - either is or isn't
Example: Mother says she is pregnant; husband says she is not pregnant - both can not both be try; husband may just know the truth
Either the God exists or he doesn't
Either Jesus died and rose from the dead (Bible) or he didn't (Quaron)
No way of knowing anything of about the real world... by claiming to know something about it
Self-defeating: The truth about the real world is that there are no truths about the real world
Any position on any subject implies some degree of knowledge
You must know what is right in order to say what is wrong
"I don't know" - you are admitting that know something
