How do we know the moral law exisits?

1. Moral Law is Undeniable

Statement like "there is no absolute turth" and "there are no absolute moral values" are self defeating

Realativists are absolutely sure that are no absolutes

"there are no real values, it is all a matter of opinon" is an opinion

Even those who deny all values, value their right to make that denial

2. Reactions Helps Us Discover Moral Law

There are absolute morals. If you really want relativists to admit it, treat them unfairly. The reaction will reveal the Moral Law

We don't want our spouce, doctors, police, etc to be realtivists

Moral Law is not always the standward we treat others, but is nearly always the standard by which we expect others to treat us.

3. Without Moral Law, there would be no human rights

Our founding fathers believed human rights were God-given - "we hold these truths to be self evident"

Not opinions otherwise it would just King George's opinion vs the colonies opinon

Same with World War 2, being against the killing of million of Jews just our opinon?

Key Phrase: Moral Law is not always the standward we treat others, but is nearly always the standard by which we expect others to treat us.
