Confusion with Absolute vs Relative

  1. Absolute Morals vs Changing Behavior - people know what is right but some choose the opposite for reasons
  2. Absolute Morals vs Changing Perceptions - people agree in the base value but see that value played out in different ways
  3. Absolute Morals vs Particular Situations - Hilter/caninibals know it is wrong to kill another but may rationalize their actions by seeing their victums as not human
  4. Absolute Morals vs How - Moral value is absolute but how it is practiced is relative
  5. Absolute Morals vs Moral Disagreements - Example: abortion. Each side defends what they think is an absolute moral valie - protecting life vs protecting liberty
  6. Absolute End vs Relative Means - Example: homeless, liberals want to provide government assistnace while conservatives would rather srimulate the economy than create dependency.
