10. New Testament Writers Abandoned Thier Long-Held Belief, Even When Faced with Death

Gave up:

• Animal sacrifice system
• Spremacy of the Law of Moses
• Strict Monotheism
• The Sabbath
• Belief in a conquering Messiah

Start new beliefs:

• Sunday day of workship
• Baptism
• Communion

Something happened in the lives of the disciples to turn their whole belief system around

The new testament writers had nothing to gain and everything to lose if these were not true

While some might die for a lie they think is truth, no one will die for something they know is a lie
