First Thing First (part II)

Second essential feature is Church exists in the world and is visible only "in Christ" as His body

To be "in Chirst" is:

1. To be in communion with Him
2. Empowered by Him
3. Directed by Him
4. Transformed by Him

Christ is the head of the body, without Him, the body has no unity or direction

3rd essential is the indewelling of the Holy Spirit (God's personal presence)

The spirit empowers, leads, purifies, renews, encourages, gathers, creats, unites, gives life, transforms, liberates, gives love, and perfects those God has chosen. 

Apart from the Holy Spirit, there is no church

The church can be united to God through Christ and the Spirit
