1. Make yourself available to serve 

Always standing by for duty

 2 Timothy 2:4

No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs--he wants to please his commanding officer.

     

Do what is needed, when it is not convenient

Give up the right to control your schedule

Remind yourself each day that you are God’s servant

 

2. Pay attention to needs 

When someone asked you to pray for them - did you write down?

Great opportunities to serve never last long – seize the moment

 

Proverbs 3:28

Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow"-- when you now have it with you.

 

Make the most of ever opportunity (Ephesians 5:15-16)

Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
