How many died in the plague?

How many were killed?

• The account in Numbers simply states that 24,000 total died of the plague.
• Paul wrote 23,000 fell "in one day."
• It is not contradictory that 23,000 should die in a day, and another 1000 die before or after.

• 1 Corinthians 10:8 - In one day twenty-three thousand of them died

• Numbers 25:9 - Those who died in the plague numbered 24,000
