Is it right to marry a sibling?

Abraham had people believing that Sarah was his sister out of fear (it was a lie).

In the early generations man didn't have a choice. Cain married the only gals around - his siblings. Abraham also lived long before Moses, who wrote Deuteronomy and Leviticus.

After Moses, no, not a good idea to marry your sister.

• Genesis 20:11-12 - She really is my sister, the daughter of my father though not of my mother; and she became my wife
• Genesis 17:16 - I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations

• Deuteronomy 27:22 - Cursed is the man who sleeps with his sister
• Leviticus 20:17 - If a man marries his sister, it is a disgrace.
