Herod wanted Peter dead and had murdered other believers

Peter must have wondered how many hours were left. God had a different plan.

An angel appeared, awoke him, released hi, led him past 16 armed guard without notice

Peter couldn't fully understand what happened but God had set him free

The man of God is immortal until God chooses to take him home
