Shamgar once killed 600 Philistines with an ox goad - Judges 3:31

Shamgar was one of thirteen people who were judges in Israel

Men and woman were responsible for maintaining law and order

There are only two verses mentioning Shamgar, above and - Judges 5:6

Nothing is said about him except:

  • He is the son of Anath
  • He rescued Israel
  • He killed 600 Philistines with an ox goad

His name is not prominent in Scripture but God is well aware of everthing Shamagr did
