Unfettered Hope

Men had become cynical and pessimistic - Jesus still believed they could learn

They were convinced that many mortals could only expect nothing but damnation

To the religious, there were classes of people who were beyond redemption, no promise could be offered

Jesus' hope is as immeasurable as his love

• He did not reject the refuse of society
• He saw promise in those who were considered scum

Like scrooge, there was hope for the man whom men have doomed for destruction

You can not tell what is in a man just by what he says or does

By contrast, Jesus said:

• The fields are ripe for harvest - John 4:35
• Would draw all people to himself - John 12:32
