HARD WORK:

Proverbs 10:4-5
~ Spiritual and physical wealth comes from ha
rd work and diligence.

  • It is a disgrace to be lazy.

Proverbs 12:24
~ Diligent hands WILL rule.

  • If you are sloppy and undisciplined you will never be an effective leader.

Proverbs 14:23
~ All hard work brings a profit, mere talk lea
ds to poverty.

  • Do you TALK or ACT ?

Proverbs 20:13
~ Do NOT love sleep !! (Challenging stuff)

~ We DEMONSTRATE our love towards God by workin
g hard for His people.

LAZINESS:

Proverbs 6:6-11
~ The ant does not need a commander in order
to be hard working.

  • They are SELF MOTIVATED. Are you ?

Proverbs 18:9
~ Slackness is very destructive.

  • Have you been slack with your bible study, prayer, evangelism, shepherding, etc.....?

Proverbs 25:28
~ A lack of self-control leaves you defensele
ss against the attacks of the devil.

Proverbs 26:14
~ As a door never gets out of its frame, so to
o a lazy man from his bed.

Matthew 12:43-45
~ The saying is true; "An idle mind is the d
evils workshop."

2 Thess. 3:6-15
~ If you do not work then you should not eat.

  • WARN the idle among you !

PRESSURE:

2 Corinth. 1:8-11
~ God puts pressure on us so that we would
DEPEND on him.

~ Run your Christian life with the mind-se
t of WINNING not just finishing.

  • STRICT TRAINING is needed to produce the spiritual athletes who will win the eternal crown.

REST:
1 Kings 19:1-18

~ Elijah reaches a point in his life that he simply needs some sleep, food and a little bit of encouragement from God before he can go on.

  • Sometimes we need this too.

Hebrews 4:8-11
~ Our real rest, however, lies in heaven.

  • Now is the time to give our BEST to God.
